New Principal, Mr. Alan Dykens
Lamoni Community Schools is pleased to introduce Mr. Alan Dykens as the new principal, beginning the 2016-2017 school year. Mr. Dykens possesses tremendous qualities that will serve our district well including: proven leadership experience, a student-centered focus, and a demonstrated commitment to our district and the community of Lamoni.
A Letter From the Principal
I want to take this opportunity to express how proud I am to be joining the Lamoni Community School District as your PK-12 Principal. As we continue to plot our course towards successful student learning I know it will take a concerted effort on each of our parts to fulfill this vision, and I want you to know that I am ready.
Lamoni is a very unique school system in which the sense of “family” is very apparent. The deep relationships that each of you develop with our students are rooted in a true sense of the tradition that has been established here within these walls. Our challenge as educators is to continue to foster these relationships while impacting the educational growth of each person. A challenge that is not easily met, but as we work together we can accomplish.
As a member of this community and a long time educator I am truly excited to have this opportunity to work for the continued growth of our school district as well as the community as a whole. This is the community, my wife and I, chose to raise our family and the school district we wanted them to attend. I am thrilled to now be a part of that family.
