Kindergarten and 1st grade students receive books from SCICF

South Central Iowa Community Foundation (SCICF) recently gifted each Lamoni kindergarten and 1st grade student three books.  Teresa Greenwood, SCICF advisor member, presented the books to the students on November 28, 2023. Exploration Academy Seeking Applicants

Exploration Academy is taking applications for the after-school program.  We have positions available immediately.  Applicants must be able to work 3pm-5pm,  Monday through Friday and be a consistent mentor for students.  Applications will be available in the office along with contact information for Karen Roberts.  If Interested please see Chrissy in the office.

Annual LEEP Thanksgiving Feast

  Leep Preschool held their annual Thanksgiving Feast on Monday, November 13th.  The preschool provides the turkey, potatoes and gravy, and rolls, while the rest of the meal is potluck style.  This year we had a wonderful turn-out.  We had 18 preschoolers and their families come and share a meal together.  As a sort-of welcome, the  students put on a short performance of “Mr. Turkey,” and . . .

Middle School Presents to the School Board

On November 8th, students of Lamoni Middle School presented information on School of the Wild and Outdoor Day to the Lamoni School Board. The students did a fantastic job in volunteering, preparing, and presenting the information. Reverse Walking Bus

Last Friday, Lamoni Community School bus riders conducted a reverse walking bus with the help of RSVP. They started at the playground and walked down the bike trail to the intersection of 7th and Clark Street. Thanks to all of the volunteers and staff that helped make this happen! Awesome job students on showing great Demon PRIDE during the walk!
