Demons Honored by Conference

     Several players from your Lamoni Demons made the All Conference teams this year in football or volleyball. First team offense and defense for football included Kalvin Brown (RB), Jessie Niebauer (OL), Javin Stevenson (Utility and DB), and Kade Nowlin (LB). Players who made second team all conference were Kade Nowlin (RB), Brayden Olson (End), and Kalvin Brown (LB and Returner). Hagen Phelps made the honorable mention list.      In volleyball, Abby Martin (unanimous) and Reese Potter made 1st team . . .

Alumni Football Game

Lamoni’s Homecoming football opponent, unfortunately, had to forfeit last Friday’s game.  Luckily for Lamoni’s Homecoming, our alumni stepped up and provided some competition! Demon Football Wins

Last Friday the Lamoni Demons defeated the Mormon Trail Saints in football 54-18. Javin Stevenson led the team in passing with 99 yards. Kalvin Brown and Kade Nowlin both led the team in rushing with 131 yards each. Kalvin Brown and Brayden Olson had 50 and 38 yards receiving respectively. Hagen Phelps recorded a sack. Jesse Niebauer recovered a fumble and Kalvin Brown and Brayden Olson had three and one intereception respectively. The Demons have a 2-3 record on the year so far. Demon Football Comes Up Just Short

Last Friday your Lamoni Demons took on the Martensdale-St Marys Blue Devils. The game was tight, but the Blue Devils were able to pull away after a rally from the Demons. Martensdale-St. Marys won the game 58-44. Javin Stevenson led the Demons in passing with 88 yards. He also led the team in rushing with 239 yards on 27 carries and scored five rushing touchdowns. Calvin Brown ran for 151 hard earned yards on 25 carries and scored one rushing touchdown. Demon Football Falls Short

Lamoni Demon Football fell last Friday to the Murray Mustangs by a score of 32-8. Javin Stevenson led the team in passing with 45 yards. Kade Nowlin led the team in receiving and rushing with 26 and 37 yards respectively. Calvin Brown led the team in tackles with 16.5, 12 of which were solo tackles. Hagen Phelps and Jesse Neibauer each recorded a sack during the game.
