Lamoni NHS Induction Ceremony

Once a year, the Lamoni High School Chapter of the National Honor Society begins a rigorous process of evaluating potential new members.  To be eligible for membership, a student must have an excellent academic record.  The high school teachers evaluate each eligible student’s character.  In addition to these requirements, participation and leadership in school and other activities is required. Membership in the National Honor Society is based upon excellence in four areas: scholarship, character, leadership, and service.  A faculty selection committee reviews all applicants eligible for membership.

Membership in the National Honor Society is one of the highest honors that can be awarded to a high school student. Chapters in schools across the nation strive to give practical meaning to the Society's goals of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.  No student is inducted simply because of a high academic average.  The National Honor Society strives to recognize the total student, one who excels in all these areas.

This year, the Lamoni High School Chapter of the National Honor Society participated in an induction ceremony on May 11.  The Chapter is pleased to induct the following new members: Braedon Boswell, Malori Leonard, Matthew Patience, Kelly Lloyd, and Ben Poulton.

        Congratulations to our new members!
