Lamoni High School Expands Career Training Through "Credentials to Careers" Grant

The Lamoni Community School District is expanding career pathways for students through the Iowa Department of Education’s Credentials to Careers grant initiative.

Formed in partnership with Green Hills AEA, regional districts, and industry employers, the program provides high school students with tuition-free access to high-value, industry-recognized credentials before graduation.

Certifications Offered

• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification: Prepares students for commercial drone operations in precision agriculture, land surveying, utility inspection, and emergency services.

By pooling resources through Green Hills AEA, the district can deliver specialized Career and Technical Education (CTE) that aligns directly with regional workforce demands in southwest Iowa.
