Academic Team Victory!
Launch the media gallery 1 playerEarly morning Wednesday, Feb. 18th, found Lamoni’s intrepid Academic Team venturing forth to wage intellectual battle at Murray’s home territory. Teams from Diagonal, East Union, Moravia, and Seymour joined Lamoni and Murray for the round-robin morning event.
The Demons’ team consisted of J.T. Stevenson, Lilly O’Neal, Tate McDole, Ava Courtney, Haelyn Olson, Persephone Fairsky, and Nora Potter. They are coached by the legendary Mr. Edens.
The morning rounds flew quickly by, with the Demons suffering a single defeat by Diagonal. Still, at the conclusion of the round-robin morning tournament, the Demons ranked first by total points! This placed them in the top seed for the single-elimination afternoon round.
After an inspirational speech from their coach, the team rallied and ended the day with a solid first place victory! The team was lead in points by senior J.T. Stevenson, who took down 35 questions.
