Girls Win District Quarterfinals

Congratulations to the Girls Basketball Team on their victory over Twin Cedars last night in the District Quarterfinals. The Demons defeated the Sabers 66-36 to improve to 20-4. Reese Potter led the team in scoring with 18 followed by Abby Martin who had 13. Cameron Martin had 13 rebounds on the night. Emily Pierschbacher tallied three assists with zero turnovers. Taylor Henson had a really good game, going 6/7 from the field, contributing 12 points. The girls' next game will be against Martensdale-St. Marys on Friday, February 18th . . .

Girls Win Conference Championship

The Lamoni Demon girls varsity team won the Bluegrass Conference Tournament last Saturday. In the championship game, they defeated Twin Cedars 55-41 and improved to 17-2 on the year. Abby Martin led the team in scoring with 22 followed by Taylor Henson who chipped in nine points. Reese Potter collected 20 rebounds and Cameron Martin snatched 15 boards. The team has a game against Murray on Wednesday, February 2nd at 6:00 PM here at home. Come out to support your conference champions, the Lamoni Demons!
