First Annual "First Responders Game"
The Lamoni Community School District would like to announce our first annual “First Responders Game”. This is an opportunity for the Lamoni Community to say thank you for the sacrifice and service of the First Responders serving our community. The First Responders (including police, firefighters, and EMS personnel) will be honored at halftime of the varsity football game on October 13th @ 7:00 pm. The game will be located at Huntsman Field on the campus of Graceland University.
In addition, the Lamoni Community School District would like to extend FREE admission to any First Responder and Military Veteran / Personnel for this event. Veterans and current Military Personnel will also be honored with the playing of the US Armed Forces Service Songs during which veterans and/or military personnel will be asked to stand and be recognized for their service.
“The First Responders, Veterans and Military Personnel within this community we hold in very high regard. We thank them for putting their lives on the line for us each day.”, says Ted Smith, Athletic Director. “Honoring them at this game is the least we can do to try and say thank you.”
