Demon Happening (4/24)

Welcome back to this week’s edition of the Demon Happenings! To start the week off, the Demon Golf teams traveled to Humeston for a triangular meet against the Mormon Trail Saints and the Wayne Falcons. The Demons were faced with a unique challenge on this particular course, sand greens. Despite the fact that most of the team had never played in conditions like Humeston’s, the Demons torched the course. Jordan Lester won the meet outright with a 34.

The very next day the Golf team hosted the Bedford Bulldogs for a home duel. The Demons used their home course advantage, and slapped their way to a five-stroke win. Jordan Lester again took first place with a 47. Also on Tuesday night, the Demon Track teams made the long drive to Melcher Dallas High School for their annual track meet. The boys took first place in shot put, 4x200, 4x100, and 4x400. The girls ran many of their best times of the season, and at the end of the night came out in first place overall. This marked the Demons first meet win for both boys and girls this year.

On Wednesday night the Lamoni National Honor Society inducted four new members, Grace Martin, Amarillo Reyes, Dixe Dykens, and Brett Boswell. Congratulations to all of this year’s inductees!

On Friday, all of LCS celebrated Demon Pride Day for their accomplishments this year.  This day is meant to reward students for all of the nice things and Demon Pride that they have demonstrated over this semester.

On Friday night the Demon Golf Team played in their third meet of the week. This time the Demons traveled to Corydon to duel it out with the Wayne Falcons. While the Demons ended losing the meet overall, Sam Hampton placed second overall with a score of 37, and Jordan Lester placed third overall with a score of 39.

Thank you for reading! Make sure you come back next week to keep up with everything going on inside of LHS.
