Demon Happening 12/12
Welcome back to the Demon Happenings! To start off the week on Monday, December 5th, there was a bowling match at Nodaway Valley. We got to sit down with Varsity bowler Omar Alcorta, “We all did well, but we did have a rough start. All that matters is that we keep getting better’’. Following Monday's meet the Bowling team had their first home meet against Nodaway Valley and Lenox. The Demons finished third in the meet, and Senior Omar Alcorta had a career high day, with a striking score of 140.
The Varsity Basketball teams were both in action this week Tuesday and Friday. On Tuesday, December 6th, both the girls and boys traveled to Moravia to battle with the Mohawks. After eight hard-fought quarters both Varsity teams left with victories. On Friday the 9th, the Demons and Lady Demons took on the Seymour Warriors in a conference matchup. While the Lady Demons struggled against the tough Warriorettes’ team, the Varsity Boys took care of business and beat the Warriors 69-31 for their third straight win.
